imageThe Mix is a hosted half-hour series that celebrates the life and vibrancy of Metis music and dance, and explores musical kinship in Native Canada.

Many First Nations performers are of mixed ancestry and that mix inspires their expression and performance. From hip-hop to traditional, from rock to classical, the door is wide open! There are talented performers of First Nations ancestry in every musical genre featured on The Mix.

One of the featured guests at this year National Aboriginal celebrations in Vancouver were the Aztec Fire Dancers. These spirited performers are the contemporary realization of an ancient prophecy that speaks of the union of the Condor from the south and with the Eagle from the North.

Peter Desjarlais - Peter left home at a young age and got involved in drugs and alcohol. Even though later he moved back home, got married and attended church, he didn't totally surrender to God. Eventually his wife left him with their children. It devastated him. God used Scriptures to confront Peter and promised him that he would heal him. If he sought forgiveness from his families and co-workers. Peter tells about the miracle that took place.
